AccraJob Description
• The Veterinary Technician will support the Veterinary Officer in delivering animal health services
• The Technician will assist in vaccination, treatment, record-keeping and implementation of basic biosecurity protocols
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in administering drugs, vaccines and other treatments to poultry
• Collect and label biological samples for lab testing
• Observe and report poultry health trends on farms
• Maintain clean and functional equipment and PPE
• Support farm biosecurity training and inspections.
• Assist in outbreak investigations and data collection
• Keep accurate farm visit and treatment records
Qualification Required & Experience
• HND or Certificate in Animal Health/Veterinary Technology from a recognized institution
• Must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ghana as Technician or Para-vet
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working with poultry farms
• Knowledge of poultry handling, diseases symptoms and treatments
• Basic computer skills (record entry and reporting)

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Good physical condition for farm fieldwork
• Ability to work in a team under limited supervision
• Respectful, reliable and able to communicate well with farmers
