Manager/Learning Delivery at MTN Ghana

Job Description

• Manage the design and delivery of impactful learning experiences that enable capability growth, business transformation and performance across MTN Ghana. The role drives a learner-centric and data-informed approach to learning delivery, ensuring employees develop the skills and mindsets required to achieve our Ambition and live the MTN Values.
• This includes managing the development, design and facilitation of in-house training programmes, and Group-related interventions to meet organisational and functional objectives.

Key Tasks:

Learning Strategy Execution

• Implement MTN Ghana’s Learning and Development strategy in line with Group frameworks and business priorities.
• Translate capability-building objectives into executable learning plans that support our Ambition.
• Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to identify learning needs and ensure delivery of impactful capability-building interventions.

Learning Design & Delivery

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, blended learning programs (virtual, digital, classroom, and experiential).
• Facilitate in-house management and leadership development programs aligned with business capability needs.
• Ensure continuous improvement of programs using participant feedback, analytics, and post-learning insights.

Learning Experience & Engagement

• Drive a learner-centric culture by embedding modern learning methodologies, digital tools, and storytelling.
• Manage and curate innovative learning formats such as learning podcasts, book clubs, learning circles and microlearning experiences.
• Manage and coordinate onboarding and induction experiences that reinforce MTN culture and values.
• Support and manage mentoring activities under the STIR Mentoring Programme, ensuring effective pairing, tracking, and evaluation of mentor–mentee progress.
• Promote knowledge-sharing communities and internal facilitators to sustain organizational learning momentum.

Performance Enablement & Capability Support

• Support deployment of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for identified underperforming employees by collaborating with HRBPs and line managers to design targeted learning interventions.
• Provide coaching and facilitation support for employees on improvement plans to enhance performance outcomes.
• Monitor learning progress and report on individual development milestones achieved through interventions.

Performance & Impact Measurement

• Evaluate learning effectiveness and report on Return on Learning Investment (RoLI) through analytics dashboards.
• Partner with HRBPs and line managers to translate learning into measurable performance outcomes.
• Present learning insights and recommendations to management for decision-making and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration

• Collaborate with business leaders, HRBPs, and Group Learning teams to identify learning needs and align programs with organizational needs.
• Manage relationships with external learning vendors, consultants, and content providers to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
• Support Group-led initiatives such as the Digital Skills Initiatives.

Operational Excellence

• Coordinate logistics, resources, and scheduling for all learning programs, ensuring efficiency and learner satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of learning activities and reports through the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Ensure compliance with internal L&D policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process simplification and innovation in learning delivery.

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

• A Degree in Human Resource/ Social Sciences, Education or a related field of study.
• A postgraduate qualification or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SPHRi, CIPD, Certified Trainer, Learning Experience Designer etc.) is an advantage
• Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, with a strong track record in facilitation and learning delivery.
• Exposure to learning consultancy, program design, and digital learning management is highly desirable.
• Experience in a medium to large, multicultural, and unionized environment preferred.
