Job Summary
The Human Resource Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resource Manager in the effective management of the Bank’s human capital.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist the Human Resource Manager in:
• Coordinating recruitment and selection activities including advertising vacancies, receiving applications, and arranging interviews.
• Preparing appointment letters, maintaining staff records, and updating the HR database.
• Managing leave schedules, staff welfare programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Supporting performance appraisal activities and tracking performance documentation.
• Facilitating staff training and development activities and maintaining training records.
• Ensuring compliance with HR policies, labour laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing HR correspondence, reports, memos, and other administrative documents.
• Performing other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management Studies, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification in HR, MBA, MA or MSc. is an added advantage.
• At least 3-5 years relevant HR experience, preferably within the financial sector, is an advantage.
• Good understanding of Ghana Labour Laws and HR practices.
• Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and work effectively under minimal supervision.
