Job Description
The High Commission of Canada in Ghana seeks to recruit Gender Equality Specialist.
Consultants applying for this position must have the following experience, knowledge and expertise
• A Master’s Degree or higher from a recognized university in one of the following relevant disciplines, international development, agriculture, agribusiness, gender studies, or related subject (agricultural economics, development studies, sociology)
• A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in development work, at least 5 of which must be related to providing advisory services on gender equality and women empowerment.
The consultant should also having the following experience, knowledge and skills
• Demonstrated experience in providing advisory services on gender equality and relate issue in programme delivery, preferably for bilateral or multilateral institution
• Sound understanding of gender equality issues in Ghana agriculture sector, including decentralized governance structures
• Excellent English writing skills
