Madamfo Ghana Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Construction Manager to lead major community-based building projects in remote areas of Ghana.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to plans, timelines and standards
• Quality & Certification: Assess and certify construction stages for compliance and safety
• Reporting: Prepare progress reports, documentation and material records for management and donors
• Team Supervision: Coordinate on-site personnel, ensuring efficient workflows and safety compliance
• Budget & Procurement: Manage costs, prepare estimates and secure fair pricing for materials and services
• Community Relations: Work closely with local leaders and residents to support inclusive project implementation
• Payroll & Safety: Oversee labour payments and maintain strong health and safety protocols
Qualification Required & Experience
• Diploma / Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects with stage certification
• Strong skills in MS Word and Excel, AutoCAD knowledge advantageous
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Proven leadership in managing diverse teams
• Adaptability to remote, resource-limited environments
• High integrity, accountability and resilience under pressure
