We are looking for a competent person for the position of a chemical engineer. The ideal candidate shall ensure that process plants and operational activities meet set KPI productivity, cost, quality, environment, safety, utilisation and efficiency with the given resources
Responsibilities
• Propose, design, implement, review and correct plans and procedures to ensure company goals are achieved
• Observe processes, conduct research and find ways to increase efficiency and quality
• Ensure safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials are followed
• Handle the preparation and revision of SOPs, flow diagrams for all process and operational activities to ensure continuous improvement in KPIs
• Develop analytical methods and analyse data, prepare and present reports
• Perform process simulations and develop process flow diagrams (FFDs) piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and heat and material baldness
• Use best practices and knowledge of current regulations to maintain safety
• Any other duty as assigned
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience
• Proven work experience as a Chemical Engineer or similar role
• Knowledgeable in chemical engineering principal and practice
