Warehouse Manager/Controller at Servest Careers

Job Context

Servest Office Services ,the division of the Servest Group has a vacancy for a Warehouse Manager/Controller for a fixed term period of 5months. The purpose of this role is to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, this position ensures productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Minimum Requirements

Education Requirements:

• Matric

• Qualification in logistics, supply chain management or business administration

• Certificate in Six Sigma ,TQM,ISO 9001 QMS or at least 2 years of experience within these systems

• 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience Knowledge:

• Excellent excel knowledge

• Knowledge of Sagee Inventory Advisor would be beneficial

• Accpac (sage 300) knowledge

• Knowledge of basic conditions of employment Skills:

• Communication (written and verbal)

• Tem Player

• Good customer /supplier relations

• Good numerical skills

• Leadership and Training skills

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Accountability

• Assume responsibility and accountability for the entire branch’s warehouse operation.

• Generate, review and manage purchase orders and associated process flow to suppliers

• Forecast stock monthly ,with cooperation from the supply chain solutions department

• Ensure stock is available for all sales orders, installations and services.

• Manage the second hand and refurbished stock and procedures

• Control inventory levels on fast moving items by checking physical stock against sales usages, reorder points and reconciling against Accpac stock levels

• Order stock from suppliers or draw from branches via transfer requests promptly and order non – standard stock immediately on receipt of order from sales

• Ensure stock is ordered from the correct suppliers at the correct prices as per the Master Buyers list

• Ensure stock is receipted within 24 hours of receiving and that creditor paperwork is forwarded to supply chain solutions well before receipting

• Manage the purchase order back order report and sales back orders ,stock shortages, reports, and complaints

• Work with the outsourced distribution company and or L&D Manager to send orders out on the most cost effective solutions on time and in full

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

• Be well informed of the various warehouse functions

• Ensure health and safety compliance

• Analyse ,investigate ,problem solve inventory variances and put systems in place to address the same

• Understand ,work with and assist in developing e-commerce warehouse management systems and any other projects in the central warehouse

• Checking of pricing

• Conducting daily meetings with the warehouse team and attending other internal meetings as per operational requirements

• Ensure deadlines are met
