To represent the interests of John Crane at the customer, whilst representing the customer’s interests at John Crane. The Sales Representative should see themselves as the “Managing Director” of their own business unit.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Increase the John Crane market share at existing customers.
- Promote full range of John Crane products at the existing customers.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities at ‘new’ & ‘dormant’ customers.
- Prepare and achieve annual budgets.
- Create a sales dashboard tracking the progress of customer sales and orders against target.
- Develop a customer action plan to develop existing and new customers.
- Create a market development plan for acquiring new customers and projects.
- Work closely with the global John Crane projects team and ensure that all projects are tracked and reported within the team.
- Monthly reporting on business development and market movements, including competitive review.
- Regular planned calling on specific customers.

- Education/Training: Technical/ Mechanical education
- Experience: 5+ years’ experience with Rotating Equipment, including Pump, Compressors, Turbines.
