The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibility areas:
- Coordinating activities for undergraduate and clinical programmes.
- Supervision of Masters level research if he/she holds a PhD.
- Teaching and learning at an undergraduate level and/or post graduate level.
- Participate in research programmes.
- Develop industry and academic partnerships.
- Engage in community outreach.
Minimum Requirements
- A Master’s in Nursing or a Master’s in a related Health discipline.
- Experience in teaching and /or clinical supervision.
- Evidence of publication output.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse / Midwife / Community Health Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Educator.
An added advantage:
- The ideal candidate for this position should be a highly-motivated person progressing or registered for a PhD in Nursing.
- A qualification in Advanced Psychiatric Nursing
- Registration with the SANC as assessor and moderator
Submission of a copy of your Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse / Midwife / Community Health Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse and Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Educator is a necessity
