Supporting African postgraduate researchers for a more sustainable future
We are proud to launch the Africa Futures Doctoral Scholar Award, a prestigious and fully-funded PhD scholarship designed to support African students committed to research that makes an impact.
This award forms part of Manchester’s broader, long-term commitment to developing ethical, equitable, and sustainable partnerships with Africa – partnerships grounded in shared knowledge, social responsibility, and transformative outcomes.
The award supports research that is co-developed with African partners, focused on African contexts, and aimed at delivering tangible benefits for communities and institutions across the continent.
