Job Purpose

To transport stores and materials to Clinics and Hospitals surrounding the Ethekwini Municipality.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Collecting and delivering items to and from clinics and hospitals in accordance with a scheduled programme.

• Inspects safety devices, controls, lubricants levels on vehicle and reports defects to the Supplier Officer.

• Observes and participates in the loading/offloading of stores and material (Clinical items e.g. medications and nutritional products) and correcting deviations from safety procedures.

• Completing the log sheets, progress reports and vehicle checklist.

• Responsible for updating transactional information associated with clinical items such as;, medications and nutritional products, receipts, issue and usage in registers.

• Undertakes filing of documentation and sundry records .

Essential Requirements

• An appropriate level of primary education.

• Valid motor vehicle driver’s licence (Code EB)

• 1 Month relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

• An appropriate level of secondary education.

• 3 Months relevant experience.
