Assistant Production at South African Bank Note Company

Purpose
To provide assistance the department with daily production tasks.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Assist the team to produce polymer and galvano plates according to specifications using different manufacturing techniques and equipment
  • Wash and dry screens and plates
  • Ensure availability of printing plates through planning and frequent stocktaking
  • Do stock count of manufactured plates and report to the Platemaker
  • Record measurements and report any deviations
  • Perform autonomous maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Adhere to housekeeping standards
  • Ensure that safe work practices are adhered to, identify, address, escalate hazards and risks in the workplace

The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

  • Grade 12 and N3 Engineering or TT3
  • 1 -2 years’ experience in the printing/manufacturing industry will be added advantage
