Non-material and material support
With the FES scholarship, we would like to support students during their studies – materially and ideally. We help to ensure that our Stipendiat_innen can concentrate on their studies without financial worries and have more time for their commitment. We are convinced that a commitment to society can best succeed together.
If you have only recently arrived in Germany, you may have only just started volunteering. In your application, tell us about your previous commitment, including in your country of origin.
Non-material support
Our Stipendiat_innen can expect an extensive range of socio-political seminars, workshops and competence training. There are scholarship groups in numerous cities and 18 thematic working groups nationwide, which warmly welcome the Stipendiat_innen. They are also integrated into the largenetworkof current and former Stipendiat_innen and exchange ideas with each other.
This non-material supporthelps the Stipendiat_innen to exchange ideas in a value-oriented environment. In this way, they are enabled to collect sufficient information, act thoughtfully, make decisions and thus strengthen their participation in society. Many of the former Stipendiat_innen are available as Mentor_innen with advice and support for questions about studying and career planning. In addition, our support is characterized by personal support and advice for Stipendiat_innen.
Material support
The financial support amounts to 992 euros. The costs for health insurance are covered. Stipendiat_innen with children receive an additional 160 euros per month.
The financial support enables our Stipendiat_innen to concentrate on their studies and their commitment. Another piece of good news is that the scholarship does not have to be repaid.
