Job Description

 

Principal Duties


o    Assure and coordinate the Implementation of the Best Start for Life Project through regularly monitoring and updating project management tools


o    Responsible for all aspects of the project’s daily management and regular communication with implementing partners.


o    Follow up with partner organizations when appropriate to monitor capacity and implementation quality.


o    Regularly review and update the project’s work plan with Grant and Resource Mobilization Manager.


o    Participate in periodic monitoring related to the impact of the project on the beneficiaries with support from M&E unit.


o    Ensure smooth coordination and communication between Country Office and Donor.


o    Provide leadership, coaching, and capacity building for all project team.


o    Collaborate with Finance to review financial reports and maintain accurate spending reports and up-to-date budgets.


o    Monitor and track all budgeted expenditures against the budget and monitor project cash flow projections


o    Ensure submission of regular narrative and financial reports to the donor and respective stakeholders


o    Ensure child safeguarding issues across the project stages


Terms of Employment: One year with a possibility of extension based on proven performance


Job Requirements


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


o    Good technical knowledge in the field of project Management, ECD, Household Economic Strengthen operations and child protection


o    Good written and oral communication skills in English.


o    Strong organizational, inter-personal, communication and report writing skills.


o    Computer literate in word processing and excel packages.


o    Experience in developing and monitoring budgets.


o    An understanding of child wellbeing and their protection and fulfillment


Minimum Educational and Work Experience Required


Education


o    BA degree in Sociology, Social Work, Management, or in related Social Since fields.


Experience


o    Five years’ experience in the practical implementation of education, ECD, Child Protection and community development projects.
