• Diploma / Degree in Sales & Marketing is required
• A minimum of 3 years sales experience, preferably in the advertising industry
• Previous client services liaison experience will be an advantage
• Must be a Nigeria Citizen
The BBC is an international multimedia broadcaster on radio, TV, online and social networks with a weekly global audience of 320 million. As part of a historical and exciting expansion of BBC Africa, the BBC World Service is increasing its digital and TV operation for the Somali audience.
BBC Somali Service operates a digital first strategy, publishing content online and on social media platforms, this alongside producing radio news and current affairs programmes in Somali. The services focus is to create world-class digital content that makes sense of news and events in Somalia and its neighbouring region for our local and global audiences.
BBC World Service is the leading international broadcaster in Africa reaching a weekly audience of more than 90 million on Radio, TV, Online (language sites and bbcafrica.com), Mobile and Social Media. It broadcasts to Africa in seven languages: English, French, Hausa, Kinyarwanda/Kirundi, Somali, and Swahili.
BBC Africa aims to report in a lively and engaging fashion, and interactivity, promotion of content on social media and social news gathering form a large part of its activities across all platforms. It is via social media that BBC Africa Service seeks to engage younger and digitally savvy audiences across Africa and the diaspora.
The UN in Tanzania employs over 1,000 personnel countrywide. For these personnel to communicate, radio communications is still utilized (HF&VHF). There is a radio network now in place throughout the country and Kibondo is part of this network. The UN in Kibondo is presently assisting refugees from Burundi and will be doing so for the near future. For the UN in Kibondo to work efficiently, effectively and safely, 24/7 radio communications is necessary.
